New Educational and Economic Development Society
New Educational and Economic Development Society, in brief NEEDS, is formed by a group of educated and committed social workers from rural backgrounds. NEEDS was formed in the year 1994 under the Indian Societies Registration Act.
- Registered under Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and bearing number 459/94.
- Registered under Foreign Contributions & Regulation Act (FCRA) with Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India in the year 2003.
- Registered with Indian Income Tax Department under appropriate sections – 12A, 80G & PAN.
- Registered under DARPAN with NITI Aayog, Govt. of India.
NEEDS as an Organization was registered by individuals hailing from Backward Classes possessing zeal and commitment towards uplifting the poorest. Initiated activities with thrust on Education and Income Generation for extending helping hand to the poorest families suffering with extreme poverty. As per its memorandum, NEEDS works in secular lines in several parts of Palnadu region which is badly impacted by drought situations.
Management
NEEDS has a general body of 11 members from different fields of development. The Executive Committee comprises 07 members out of whom 02 are Women. President looks into the day to day affairs of the NEEDS supported by a team working with different activities. The team is headed by a Director who underwent conceptual trainings on different aspects of development.
Administration
The activities of NEEDS are monitored from its office located at Uppalapadu Village in Narasarao Pet Mandal of Palnadu District.
