Interventions of NEEDS
Educational Support for Children
Residential center has been run at Uppalapadu Village since the year 2005 to provide care and support to Children in the age group of 06 to 14 years of age. There are around 70 Children from the poorest sections – Orphans, Semi Orphans and needy Children from different Villages. Children are provided residential services and are enrolled with local Government Schools.
Further, the following activities are implemented;
- Leadership development
- Skill development for female Children
- Providing life skills education to Children
- Tuition center for Children in need of additional academic support
- Imbibing the habit of raising vegetable gardens at the center
- Organizing Physical Exercises and Yoga at the center
- Promoting cultural activities – skits on social evils to create awareness
